Test Plan
Given ample time and resources, the test plan would focus on unit testing, system testing, and usability testing. We would want to test to ensure that all of the functionality is working perfectly independent of the other parts, then integrate these into the whole system and ensure that everything interacts as expected. Finally, we would have multiple physical therapists provide feedback on the actual use as well as the layout of the interface.
The actual test plan will focus on system-testing. Our primary testing will occur in the physical therapy lab. We have already scheduled a preliminary test date and will have another date scheduled for some time after the return from Thanksgiving break. The functions that will be tested are local-machine logging, setting the virtual environment, updating treadmill parameters, and dynamic display of the LCD values. We will be testing with both a dummy application created by Jeff Feasel and in the actual physical therapy lab on the machine that is already connected with the IVERT system.Testing will be done by all three team members, as well as Jeff and the physical therapist
Key Dates:
- November 20: Preliminary test in physical therapy lab
